The Partial Lunar Eclipse and The Grand Cross of June 26, 2010

WOW!
I received a lot of emails this week about this celestial event, so I just had to take a look, and all I can say is WOW!

According to Western Astrology every planet is affected except for Venus. Venus doesn't make any aspects in the western astrology system. In the Vedic system, Venus is aspected by Jupiter by sign, otherwise there seems to be an emotional disconnect with what is going on. The other possibility is we are exhausted with all that is going on and we need to step back and go within to determine where do we go next. Both may apply depending on your individual circumstances.

Using the significators from "The Daily Ray" on the left, it is truly a day for transformation, a rebirth, especially for Mother Earth. It is a chance to connect with the Divine feminine in all of us. It is not a coincidence that the last few months have been filled with news of natural disasters, BP oil spill, Wall Street reform, health care reform, the Tea Party movement, the environmental movement, dangerous chemicals in our foods and personal care products, etc. This is our wake up call! This is a World Wide Wake Up Call! Mother Earth is going through a transformational rebirth. It is time to look within to see where we need to make changes in our life. Change is happening whether you want it or not. If we let go of the things in our lives that are not working for us, the changes will go a lot easier.

The Lunar Eclipse
The Earth and Moon in Capricorn is opposite the Sun in Cancer. Earth and Moon are symbols of the feminine and the Sun is a symbol of the masculine energies. The Sun is in the Moon's Sign of Cancer. Masculine energies are now given the opportunity to feel the pain and the needs of the feminine energies, the environment, and Mother Earth. Moon and Earth are in the Saturn ruled sign of Capricorn, which rules responsibility, governments, and big corporations. The Moon is also conjunct or next to Pluto, which represents deep transformational energy, rebirth, an energy that affects the masses. The Moon and Pluto gives us the opportunity to go deep and be responsible for our lives, getting rid of things that are not working for us anymore. Mercury is also conjunct the Sun which gives us a voice to express our opinions about what is not working.

The Grand Cross
Along with these oppositions, there is another set of oppositions that connect with this one which makes the Grand Cross in the sky. Saturn is opposite Jupiter and Uranus. This is the classic battle between the old way (Saturn) of doing things and the new (Uranus). Saturn is about responsibility and the corporations, governments, financial and health institutions have not acted responsibly, and they have to admit they are wrong and change the way they behave. It is time for the humanitarian influences (Uranus) to take the upper hand. Both Jupiter and Uranus are freedom-loving planets. Life is supposed to be about experiencing joy everyday in  our lives. Governments and Corporations need to start operating by putting humanitarian and environmental interests first. They need to stop killing us and the planet.

The planet Mars makes easy connections to the Sun-Moon axis. Mars is an action planet and will be used for the release of all this energy. If you must act, act using the higher energies of this planet - become the Peaceful Warrior. Follow the I Ching and be still, meditate or the Mayan calander and  organize a plan of action. Neptune, also makes easy connections to this axis emphasizing meditation and being still again. The Card for the day is the 4 of Clubs - achieving peace of mind should be the goal of the day.

We caused the problems on the earth. We are responsible. To change what is happening around us, we need to change ourselves. We need to go deep and see what is not working for us and release it. We need to love ourselves. All our inner troubles are being expressed in our outer world. So this is our wake up call to take responsibility for our lives and our planet. How can we change to help each other, to get rid of the anger and frustrations of our everyday life. Spend sometime this weekend to think of these things.
